Smalley will aim to continue a successful run in one-make Ginetta competition this year, having started his career as the Junior Scholarship winner in 2017. After securing the Winter Series title that year, he went on to taste overall championship glory the following campaign.
The 19 year old stepped up to the GT5 Challenge last year and was fighting at the front of the field throughout, with four race victories and six further podium results. He now makes his GT4 SuperCup debut as he enters his fourth season of racing with Elite.
Eddie Ives, Elite Motorsport Team Principal:
“After a busy winter with a few changes to our driver line-up, we’re delighted to confirm we will be back to defend our Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup title with two very quick Pro class contenders in Adam and Tom.
“Both drivers have been part of the team for a few years now and we’re pleased that they’re sticking with us for 2020. Having worked with them, we already know the talent they possess and they’ve shown in our pre-season testing that they have the pace to be at the front of the grid.”
The Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup is Ginetta’s flagship championship, with a three-class structure incorporating Pro, Pro Am and Am categories. In 2020, the series will be contested in support of the British Touring Car Championship.
