The first round of the Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 Supercup Championship was held at Snetterton race circuit in Norwich.
After showing his pace in the two free practice sessions on Friday, Adam put in a blistering lap in qualifying which put him on pole position by over 4 tenths of a second.
The opening race of the weekend took place on Saturday afternoon and what an opening race it was! Adam held the lead from the start and started to build a good lead from those behind. Adam set the fastest lap of the race before going on to win the opening round of the 2021 Championship.
Race two took place on Sunday morning. Adam again started from pole position and went on to take a light’s to flag victory!
For the final race of the weekend which was the reverse grid race, Adam started from 4th place. He made an excellent start and got into 2nd place on the opening lap.
He focused on closing down the gap to the leader and managed to get right behind him at the end of lap 5. Adam made a great move into the first corner to get into the lead of the race. Unfortunately, contact from behind cut Adam’s race short and had to retire the car.
Whilst it wasn’t the end to the weekend that Adam wanted, it was still a very promising opening round of the championship, getting so close to taking three out of three victories.
Adam will next be in action at Brands Hatch Indy on the 26-27 June for round two of the Championship.
